We just got back last night from an amazing trip to Disney World! I cannot even begin to describe how wonderful it was!!! Adeline had the best time and we are all exhausted! We left on Monday and came home late Saturday night. We stayed at the Caribbean Beach Resort which was great. I took around 1200 pictures, so I will post some and set up a link to the others. Our favorite place of course was the Magic Kingdom! I took a picture of Adeline the first time she saw Cinderella`s Castle. She was just in shock for a while and couldn't`t believe everything we were seeing. All the workers at the Magic Kingdom were so nice and friendly and went over and beyond to make Adeline feel like a princess and have a great trip. Her favorite thing to do were the parades and shows at the stage on the Castle. She was able to dance in the parades with Mickey and several others. We literally saw these parades and shows about 10 times. Her favorite rides were It`s a Small world, Aladdin, Dumbo, the Carousel, The Tea Cups and Story Time with Belle was great! The longest we waited in a line was about 10 minutes and that was not bad at all. She LOVED seeing all the characters. We stopped every time we saw a character and got an autograph . We did wait 45 minutes in line to see" The Fairies." It was well worth it!! You enter Pixie Hollow and Tinkerbell , Silver Mist and Fawn were there. They were so sweet to her and she was dressed in her new Tinkerbell costume which she loved!! We also did the character breakfast at the Crystal Palace and at Lunch at Cinderellas`a`s Royal Table and this was fabulous. I highly recommend doing it. Cinderella is her favorite princess, so she loved this and eating in the castle was really neat too. On Tuesday she did the Bippity Boppity Boutique where they turned her into a princess. It was such a fairytale experience for her! They fix the girls up with so much hair gel and glitter. It is kinda tacky, but they love it! The fireworks and lights parade was awesome too. We went to Epcot, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom too, but she would keep asking when are we going to the Castle again. So good thing we had the park hopper option and went to the Magic Kingdom everyday except for one day. Max and I were so impressed with The Magic Kingdom and how everything they do is over the top and special. Everyone greeted Adeline by calling her princess the whole week and were so sweet to her. She did want to wear her costumes there. Its just something about being at the Magic Kingdom that truly is so magical!!! It was decorated for Halloween, so they had cute Mickey pumpkins everywhere. I was also impressed with how accommodating it is for handicapped children with wheelchairs and people on scooters. They make these children feel so special and they do not have to wait in the lines. It was so emotional to see these children experiencing Disney World. The look on their faces was priceless. It was wonderful! At Epcot we did the lunch at Akershus with the Princesses. It was great too because they all come to her table. The food was different though because it was in Norway. Epcot did not have enough kids stuff and quite frankly it is so boring to me. Hollywood Studios had a great Beauty and The Beast Live show. It was like a Broadway performance. We also loved, Toy Story ride there, Playhouse Disney Live, Honey I shrunk the Kids and Ariel show. This was our first time at Animal Kingdom too and it was great! The safari ride was neat and the had an amazing Nemo musical. It was pretty hot this day and we were tired by Friday, so we left and went back to the MK. Disney World was so much a fun and we cant wait to take Little Max back!! I definitely will wait till he is 3 1/2 or 4. We saw so many people with newborns, infants and toddlers who were tired, screaming and miserable. I was shocked at how many people brought such small babies there. As wonderful as Disney is it is also a place of crying babies, kids throwing fits, kids screaming, and parents losing their patience. We heard some funny comments from moms and dads to their children or to each other.....some of my favorites are"this place makes me crazy", "you are too big for me to carry"(talking to a 10 year old), "you are not going to ruin this trip", "this is your last souvenir", "stop touching your sister", "I'm going to spank you AGAIN." It became quite humorous by the end of the week and we were exhausted too so you know how they felt. All in all it was a fabulous trip!!
